Leegit, aka Lee Lambert born in Edinburgh Scotland 11/12/1983. Relocated to Australia in 1989 and has since then called Melbourne his home. It was in Melbourne that Leegit got his first taste of hip hop music, something he instantly fell in love with and has not turned his back on since.

Leegit broke onto the local scene in 2006, quickly built a fan base with his early music and was instantly recognised for his extremely energetic live performance and raw lyrics.

Leegit really made his impact with his “Menace to society” mixtape, which was followed up with “Angels & Demons” a group collective that he headed, called “Midnight Militia” Leegit went on to perform as opening act for several international artist such as Lloyd banks, the Outlawz (Tupac), The Game, Kid Cudi, Cassidy, Bone thugs n harmony, DPG, , Tech9, D12, Obie Trice, Chamillionaire to list a few. Performing at iconic Melbourne venues such as Festival Hall & Sidney Myer Music bowl.

After a few year hiatus from business and bringing a daughter into the world, Leegit is ready to hit the scene again, he has been hard at work over the last year, in the studio with local rap legend, mentor & producer Weapon X (X & Hell) , the 2 have cooked up incredible EP titled “The piper must get paid” in dedication to his recently deceased grandfather.

The combination have gelled together to create a very unique sound, like no other Aus hip hop artist to date, this edgy, provocative, dark, yet smooth sounding record will definitely leave a taste in you mouth that will have you wanting more.

First 3 singles, “Under” feat itsMac & Little Jase, “Remember” feat Frascisco Tavares & "Pocket full" Feat Esscay, Ken Hell & Lee Monro, have Already been making quite an impact on social media, accompanied with cinematic visulas, these first few tracks are a testament to the standard of music the combo is putting out.
